Morgan
Dollars were the currency of the Old West. They were minted from 1878
through 1921 in San Francisco, Denver and New Orleans. Designed by George
T. Morgan. Some had 8 tail feathers on the back and others had 7 tail
feathers in the early varieties. Sometimes you can find a real gem with
these Morgan dollars. Even if you don't get one that is
"proof-like" you still get a piece of the old west and a hunk of
